first time at the 1320....
How can I improve my et's...I'm running BFG g-force T/A drag radials. I didn't even burn out on them in the water box...should I ? Here's what I got for my first 1/4 mile time at the drag strip...with my completely stock internals, full interior, Drag 3 gsr...i didn't even have that good of traction with the bfg's i guess i gas it to much or something, It didn't hook up at all in first gear the niddle just stayed at 7,600. When it finally did hook up i hit the second step rev limit and shifted to second. I two steped at 5,200 and slipped the clutch

lol...thanks for the "Encouragement". Now i know where my car should be at when i get more and more and more practice which i need. I'm going to be getting some M/H 20x6x14 slicks to help with my 60fts...thanks for the info
Yes, your MPH indicates lower ETs but your drag radials are holding you back from the launch... getting slicks would, I think, drop you into the low 13s/high 12s. Like hondaatwsu said, you need to really modulate throttle in that first 1/8th, tirespin all through a gear is BAD.
I'll try the madulation technique when i go back with slicks....After the 13.8 run i looked at the tires and they looked melted almost and those things were brand new
slicks would be a good step up, but if you are investing in brand new slicks, I'd step up to a bigger slick. at least a 22x8x13. you'll overpower the 20x8x14's pretty soon and with the 22x8x13's, those will last longer as you go up in HP, its a more diverse slick for the 180-300HP range.
