my car wont start! help!!
okay guys and gals heres the deal i gotta 95 civic 5spd d15b7 i went to leave work today and boom...nothing all the lights light up,no CEL,radio still works, doesnt make a clicking sound when trying to start..NOTHIN! i dont think its my battery cause my radio comes on and the connections are on tight. my buddy said hit the starter acouple times, did so....nothin could it be the main relay? im stumped and im tired of poppin the clutch to get it to start lol thanks in advance for the help guys!
Try the neutral safety switch under the dash. You'll know if its bad when you put a paper clip, wire etc. in the two prong connector put the clutch in and start it. If that's the problem of course...
The PGM-FI Main Relay has nothing to do with the starter.
The CIS, [clutch interlock switch] may, there is no neutral safety switch in a 5 speed.
Try a bypass jump...

It will tell you if it is a starter problem or something else.94

A bit of a pain to get to, you need to plug the hole the "stop" was in, youcan get the part from Honda or plug it with anything, I have superglued pennies over the hole. 94

Techanacly yes and no, the NSS only allows car to be started when in park or neutral, a CIS allows car to be in gear and still be able to start the car, semantics maybe, but there is enough "misinformation", [albeit not intentional] that clearification can't hurt.
