Okay, i have a good friends father of mine that paints cars for a living....is it worth repainting the engine bay for the extra money, i know its a pain in the *** but what are your opinions, sorry for the question

 

Its definetly worth repainting the engine bay if its a different color paint if not and the paint is in decent shape I wouldnt worry about it.

 

Definatly. It seems if I see a nicely painted car my opinion of it changes if the engine compartment isn't painted the same color.

I go by the rule do it right, or don't do it at all.

if you're really strapped for cash and using it all on the exterior/door jambs, just scuff the engine bay down REALLY good yourself, mask most ****, and spray it semi-gloss black in the rattle can....no big deal and you get a nice finish for $5

if your painting a similar color, then no dont paint the engine bay. if your painting a totally diff color ie: black to orange. most definately paint engine bay. dont be cheap on your ride, after all its your BABY!!

what color is the car now? if your painting it gunmetal i'd repaint the engine bay unless its already black, anything else will look to out of place.

Yeah if you're painting it a Gunmetal or silver, I'd recommend painting the engine bay. Yes it's a pain in the *** but with a good paint job, it's worth it to be able to look under the hood and see the same color... trust me.
