painting engine bay, any tips
my car is getting back from the body shop wed and I am putting my motor in on saturday.
THe color is a titanium gray and from paintscratch it is 30 bucks a can for spray
How many cans do I need for Rad support, fenders and firewall?
Should I just get some pepboy paint with a similar color, or paint it black?

I did my engine bay and took like 3 cans. I like extra coats though.
It's use to be teal green and now its:
I write up a how to when I have time. I think there's also a DIY thread about this somewhere also. Search harder.

First off, you really should use more then two cans. I used three, and
could have used more if I wanted to go buy it.
If your doing it with spray paint, I dont think its going to look
good if you try and color match. Black is black, but when you
try doing fancy colors its just a pain. When your talking about
spray paint at least.

Re: painting engine bay, any tips (yusoslo)
I had my car painted taupe frost metallic recently and luckily, my original color was black, so I just left my engine bay black, and I think it looks great. Stays clean and is much easier too take care of.

in my first post I was discussing how I did not want to pay 30 bucks a can or 90 bucks for an engine bay
