Hi everyone.
I'm looking to do an auto to manual swap on my 1993 del Sol Si with a d16z6 this spring. I've done the research and put together a list of things I need as well as miscellaneous information and wanted to share it here to confirm from the experts that I'm on the right track. I have someone who is recommended to do the swap.
I'll be picking up a donor car for some of the needed parts and buying other parts new. I already have the centre console.
Parts from donor car:
Manual starter
Manual throttle cable
Inspection plate
Manual transmission - S20 B000 (92-95 EX/Si) or S40 B000 (96-00 EX)
Pedal assembly for cruise control
Shift linkage - not the same for EX/Si to del Sol - HARD to find
CV half shaft assembly
Dash cluster (necessary?)
P28 - with car already, will be converted
New parts:
Conversion mount for auto to manual transmission (i.e. Innovative mount #49520)
Rear transmission mount (EG)
Front lower torque mount (EG)
Shifter (going to use Integra shifter - Type R)
Clutch lines
Firewall coupler for two halves of the clutch lines
Clutch master cylinder
Slave Cylinder
Clutch
Flywheel (necessary? Same between auto/manual?)
Some details to confirm:
I intend on using a donor car for several of the parts listed above. Ideally a 92-95 EX or Si. However, I haven't been able to confirm that a 96-00 EX can also be used for the parts listed above. Can someone confirm this? I'm sure it's not, but what about a 94-01 Integra (not including the transmission)?
From what I've researched, any d-series hydro transmission can be used. I've read that the 96-00 is a better transmission because it uses steel shift forks but from what I've read this can also cause more problems in turn. Either way, can someone please confirm that the 96-00 S40 B000 can be used in place of the S20 B000 from the 92-95?
What about the JDM d15b transmission? They are readily available from parts suppliers and with warranty. I believe they are the same for either generation, but can someone confirm this? I know there was an LSD version that are nearly impossible to find.
If there is anything you see above that should or can be be switched from donor car to new and visa versa, please let me know.
Am I missing anything?
Thanks!

The automatic axles are the same, you can reuse them if you you'd like
The automatic doesn't have a flywheel, only a flexplate, so yes you'll need the flywheel (along with the bolts) from a '92 - '00 Civic.
The pedal assembly needs to come from a 5 speed '92 - '95 Civic, Del Sol, or '94 - '01 Integra. '96 - '00 pedals wont work here. Same goes for the clutch lines.
You can use any '92 - '00 Civic transmission. Don't get too hung up on the steel vs aluminum forks, if you're not planning on putting much more than stock power through it and your just daily driving it it's really not going to matter. The D15B vtec transmission is the same as the EX/Si transmission, and yes some have the rare LSD option. I wouldn't pay a fortune for one though.
Yes the Del Sol takes a weird shift linkage, you should be able to find one in the H-T marketplace though, there's a enough people swapping in B-series engines that there should be some floating around.
