1991 crx hf z6 swap bogging under load
So i finally finished my swap and revs just fine but ANY TYPE of load will make it bog extremely bad. I have read and read and read and looked and looked but all the posts i have seen, they are able to drive but cant accelerate much. I cant accelereate at all.
Ok so I thought it was my map sensor so I extended the wires to the map sensor on the throttle body (I have a z6 swap) and it runs better now but still bogs when under load. Its sorta, kinda, not really drive able because of the bog and exhaust not being hooked up. I know it'll lose power because of the exhaust but not this much. Any ideas on what it could be?
Ignition timing is separate from mechanical timing. You'll need a timing gun to set it properly (real easy to do). Willing to bet that's all it is that's causing the bog.

You should go out and check your ignition timing so you could at least eliminate timing as a culprit. Since you haven't for whatever reason, try advancing/retarding the distributor in small increments and see how the affects the bog. Post back your results, maybe someone else will have posted another suggestion not related directly to timing by then.
Also, have you verified that your mechanical timing is in fact still correct since having started the engine? And another random thought, may it possibly be a bad TPS?

Idk why but my cel light stopped working one day while i still had the old motor in so i have no idea if im throwing any codes. I had a buddy come over and we readjusted the timing and i havent driven it since because i havent had time.
P28 converted from auto to manual. I checked all around where they did the conversion and nothing looks burned. The only other ecus i have, are obd0.
