Im doing a CRX Si cam swap into my D15B7, now my question, i have a cam gear from a D16Y8 (got for very cheap) will it work with the D16A6 cam? I know the cam is 1/2 a tooth off already, but will it work? Thanks.

the y8 cam gear should work just fine, I had a 91 si cam in my b7 too and I left the stock cam gear in there and it worked ok. I had a ton of low end power but it let off a little on top end, My b7 was a stronger motor than my z6 that I have now.

 

so you had the cam was retarded or advanced?
Whats better useable power? low end or top end?
I just want a 14 sec 1/4.

I am interested in this as well as I have a d15b7 in my sol and a d16a6 just setting around collecting dust.
