" D"aftermarket cam gear question
i have a 2000 ex head, and bottom end is 98 civic lx
I would like to know if it's an advantage to have one and what years of aem or any cam gears can go on it. Can the d15gear, or other models from the share the same design of cam gear could go with this head?
thank you

you will not gain any performance from this without having an aftermarket cam. The only thing you can do is move around your powerband for low end or top end power. Its a waste of money if you don't have an aftermarket cam to put with it.

Re: " D"aftermarket cam gear question (uranazo)
ya, I got one because I broke mine. was like $40 off ebay (AEM). didn't really do anything, and the adjustment bolts strip to easily. I tried playing with it to get better milage out of my hx.. didn't have much luck. I say stay with stock.

Some companies such as Golden Eagle actually have different cam gears for 92-95 and 96-00. From my understanding the timing is off by a bit between the years.

i am thinking to buy a zex stage 2 for 260.00 new from my friend, and buy the valvetrain on from zex themselves.
actually here is ANOTHER question
my boy said he will do a p&p for 200 on my head or have it professionally done for 300-450? or buy a vafc, or the cam?

Actually, you can benefit from a cam gear with a stock cam.
