ran out of gas now it only runs for a bit then turns off 93 accord
well the other day i ran out of gas... so then i pumped 15 dollars worth of gas which brings it to half on the gauge.. and now for example in the morning ill turn it on and starts up fine drives for some time maybe about 10 mins or so then randomlly turns off and wont turn back on until i let it sit for maybe 20 mins..
thing is if i let it idle then it wont turn off what could it be? seems like its getting gas?.. fuel filter maybe? is that possible?

I'd guess fuel filter first, then fuel pump. Since it ran all the way down you probably sucked up what's in the bottom of the tank.
Second replacing the fuel filter. Make sure to use a 14mm flare wrench on the smaller hose. Don't try using a regular open end wrench.
If it still does it, get a fuel pressure tester from harbor freight if you got one near you for only $20. If not, order one from them online. Then put the gauge on the fuel rail making sure to use teflon tape on the threads so it doesn't leak. Then stick the gauge through the hood so that it is facing you while driving and see if the pressure drops when it cuts off. If it does, then replace the fuel pump.

You may or may not have burn out the fuel pump, fuel pumps are cooled and lubricated via the fuel in the tank. I third the fuel filter idea though. A way to test fuel pressure easily via the rail is to prime the pump (turn the car to ON, not start, but on), and break loose the test port bolt on the top of the fuel rail, place a rag over the bolt when doing so. If it squirts out you have general basic fuel pressure.

I'm gonna say be careful when taking that large nut off, I ended up bending the fuel line so much it ended up breaking it off last time. Had to use some rubber fuel line to fix it. What I did wrong was I disconnected the fuel filter from its support bracket before I went for the big nut. It was a huge noob mistake but the fuel line has held up fine.
Yah, def keep it in the support bracket to remove the top bolt...also use a crescent wrench to hold the fuel filter in place by placing it under the top bolt in the slot that's designed for a wrench to hold the fuel filter in place.
