Help! My car is running rich
I have a 91 civic hatch with a JDM b16a swap in it. Car was running great a view days ago and I replaced the valve cover gasket and clean the throttle body and after that it started idling funny. Replaced 1 o2 sensor cause it ws throwing a code for. New injectors, fuel regulator, fuel filter, idle air control valve and yet its still puffing black smoke and running rich. Any ideas Im stuck
Are you throwing any other engine codes?
Sounds like you might've done something with the fuel map sensor (sits on the throttle body). It also shares the same plug as the TPS, you would get codes if you switches them by accident though. Perhaps you removed the Map sensor and didn't replace it correctly? If it's not receiving vacuum it'll make the car run rich and throw an 02 code.
