Hi, well i recently had my engine replaced on my 2000 civic ex and i've started getting high idling and random cel and i check if i had a vacuum leak in which i ruled out that my intake manifold gasket was no good anymore. so today i replaced that im gasket thinking it was gonna be fixed and it still idling high and the odd think is that normally its at 1500 rpm and once i turn on the AC it goes down to 1000 rpm. What should i check for?

Clean you'r IACV to start/Adjust the idle screw IF needed.. also what's the code you're getting

Any CEL codes thrown?

If you remove the air intake system and then use your finger to cover the port/hole inside the throttle body leading to the IACV, does the idle speed drop?
