How do I swap a gauge cluster with a tach into my eg?
I found a gauge cluster at my local junkyard with a tach on it it's in a 95 ex coupe will it bolt right in to my 94 eg? I don't have a tach currently and it's ilegal around here to have a aftermarket tach cause its ubsturction of view so I wanna swap my gauge cluster out. Will it bolt right in and how do I hook the tach up?
So its a illegal to have a huge monster take mounted on the dash...who says it cant be a smaller one mounted on the steering column or anywhere else?
But yes...all 92-95 clusters are plug and play. Doesnt matter if its auto/manual/has tach/no tach/jdm....ALL are plug and play.

Will work, I had the same concerns. Went through 3 of them before I found out that it was the clusters I was getting that were bad. 3rd times a charm, pluged it up and everything worked. Also, even if it was legal...its just cleaner to do the cluster swap. I got compliments all the time at shows over the rediculous Ej1 that I always parked next to, and mine Ej2 was basically stock!

I paid $32.00 including the core for the cluster for my 95 DX, and $13 for the cluster I just put in my 98 DX. There was that much of a difference in less than a year from 2 yards that are literally 10 miles from each other. Shop around, get the best pricing you can!
I've got about a dozen of them ... all for about $25 or less each. If I don't pull them then they just get crushed with the car ... so I feel I have an obligation to do so.
Anyway, plug and play, but you might want to swap in your original speedometer to keep your mileage. VERY easy to do. Just google for a DIY.

or you can just do it the hard way like i do, just wrote down both mileage and i just do the math on it to determine what the actual mileage is...lol! i love Georgia for that, i dont have to worry about keeping the mileage the same.
