i bought it off a honda mechanic and he said it has a D15Z7, he said the block had 200,000+ miles and head 100,000 miles so it has a different head. i didnt know the block was a vtec motor. its my first civic so im all new to hondas i bought it for fuel economy and to have cheap fun and its a project at the same time.

Pics of engine please. If the head is non-VTEC then you'll need one of those and a VTEC ECU and some other stuff like wiring.

You'll make some power, but it's certainly not a night and day difference.

I haven't bought from fix my rust specifically, but I have bought the replacement quarter panels before. They're a great way to fix a rotten quarter panel and if you sort of know what you're doing you can make it look pretty decent.
