A few question about rear disc brake conversion
I have searched alot for my question and have gained answers to some.
But there are still some questions that I can‘t seem to find an answer to, or that i‘m only finding mixed answers.
I have a 1999 ej9, and i‘ve bought a rear brake conversion from an ek4.
So far I‘m missing some bits, the left handbrake caple and brake lines, and the thing is some people are saying that I need a proportioning valve(Vti 3540 or 4040), a new master cylender(VTI 15/16),and a new brake booster, but some say that I don‘t need those parts. I‘ve read about different consequences if I add those or skip them, both bad or neutral. For example a loose brake pedal.
So where do I stand? I’m possible getting a complete VTi swap(b16) later this year, so, is it really that necessary in my case?
Also, will these brake lines work for the ek4 brakes?

I‘ve contacted the seller and he‘s really not sure. I‘ve also contacted Stoptech but why not just ask you guys.
Do I need a wheel alignment after the conversion? I read about a guy who did the conversion and his car began to “drag” itself(the description was kind of weird, but you guys might know what I’m talking about). Then some guy said “no **** you just changed all of your brake settings”. My car is slammed with a lot of camber, so do I need it?(well, of course I “need it”)
One more thing. The guy who took the brakes out of the ek4 cut the abs sensors, so I bought new ones. Will that be a problem when I’ll do the conversion? My car currently has abs.
Hope you guys can shed some light on my situation!

You dont NEED to change the master , prop valve and booster but if you can get a hold of those parts do it ! When i did my rear disk swap i replaced the prop valve with a 4040 and a 1" mc and booster but only because i upgraded the front also to 11"
Im pretty sure those lines will fit , im running EM1 lines on my 00 Ej8 with no problems.
It is best if you get a wheel alignment.

You don't need the booster and MC for a rear disk swap, but you should get the prop valve.
Think of prop valves as a remap for your brakes. You can't just slap a turbo on and expect the stock map to run it properly, likewise you can't just swap to a completely different brake setup and expect the standard prop to feed it correctly.
It'll work, sure, but it'll likely be no better than it was with drums and in all probability, it will be worse.
