e brake problems with integra brake conversion
Ok i need to attempt to hooking up my ebrake today after not having it hooked up for like a month since my disk brake swap. I have a 94 civic dx with a gsr conversion.. The brakes work fine but the e brake cables do not reach all the way to the holes, do I just need to pull them up and install it, also one reaches further up (the passernger side) than the other one (drivers side)
Any tips?

They are the ones that came with the rear brakes, so they are disc brake e brake cables.

jack up the car and make sure they arnt snagged on anything.. there is a specific way they have to travel to the cabin of the car in order to be long enough... i can't really explain it, you will just have to figure that part out on your own.

Re: (TedR719)
Had that problem on my buddy's EK. I put a complete set of Si-R disk brakes on his car and the right-rear e-brake cable reached further up than the left-rear e-brake cable. But I still got it there. It just pulls on the right-rear far forward more than the left-rear. And the cable runs through the undercarriage the corret way. The brackets of the e-brake cable are bolted underneath on the factory holes/spots.

so just pull those lines up and I should be ok, what about the braket that goes right behind where it hooks up, did you get that to bolt down as well.
Thanks for the info!

I heard that since the lines are short that it will grind down the pads (which would make sense if I have to force them in like that) , and someone who had this problem got 94-95 Si e brake cables and it works perfectly for him, this is also on a hatch, is there any difference with those brake cables (hatch vs coupe) they way the run under the car.

Everything was bolted up correctly and yes every part was there. My buddy's car was a 99/00 EK hatch. The brakes I installed on his car was from a 91-95 EG Si-R hatch. The e-brake cables were the original/stock cables. But yeah, it's something you want to fix. If you ever do, somehow, end up having to use the e-brakes while the car is mobile, then it may cause you to fishtail.
