Default Replacing starter and battery to fuse box wire.

Hey guys,

I have some 8 guage audio wire left from a previous install on a small system and wanted to know if I can use it to replace my wires from:

The fuse box to battery terminal and the starter to battery terminal.

My factory ones are rusted and the strands are breaking away.
