Default Cheapest Air/Fuel Gauge

I need an air fuel gauge and a sender to go with the gauge. What is the cheapest way to go about doing this? When I see a/f gauges for sale, in a lot of cases I'm not sure if they come with a sending unit, or what size fitting bung the sending unit requires to be welded in the exhaust. Can someone help me out? Thanks in advance, sorry for the dumb questions

the bung on the exhaust is a standard O2 bung which can be purchased at most mainstream automotive parts stores.

also, i would not purchase a wideband just because it is cheap. A cheap wideband can lead to false readings which can lead to things you dont want to happen. Cheap wideabands also tend to be slow in reaction. You dont want that.

Instead of being cheap, find the one that suits your needs (obviously you dont need a motec wideband if you have a stock engine) and get it. I have found the PLX devices widebands to be incredibly reliable and durable. But i have heard great things about the MTX-L from innovate.

REAL widebands systems have their own controllers with options of either coming with a gauge or the controller built into the gauge.

any ole gauge can put a number in your face. doesnt make it accurate.

Here is a link to the AEM Gauge line. Fast, reliable and accurate. Comes with everything needed to install it. You just have to get the bung welded on, but does come with one.

Depending on your plans and current setup, there may not even be a need to weld on another bung. Kind of dumb to have 2 or 3 O2 bungs if you are using a system that only requires 1 WBO2 sensor.

Innovate and PLX get my nod, come with all that is required to instal. I have used both for many years without issue. AEM not so much. However, it seems as though AEM have finally put out a revised wideband kit. Hopefully one that is much more reliable than their old unit.

I'm happy with my MTX-L so far.

14point7.com has a Spartan O2 wideband setup that is fairly simple to install and very accurate. I have been using their products for a long time now and they are reliable. Plus for 100$ for the setup minus the gauge and no need to calibrate it. I think that is sweet.
