So.i am running a obd2 p72 on my gsr swapped ek hatch does.it really make.a diffrence if its a obd 1 or obd2 cause people have been recomending me a chipped p28 i need recomendations thanks !

Question:
Is emissions testing in your area the type which plugs in the scanner to pass?

If yes then you'll fail automatically with an OBD1 ECU.

A "chipped" ECU really means nothing without a tune and some supporting mods by an experienced tuner with a dyno. You need to mention your mods but all else aside if its bolt ons than its not really worth it at that point.

Unless you're either boosted, or running MAJOR modifications, there's no reason to need a chipped ECU.
