few questions on h swap
hello my friends i havent posted in a longgg time
anyways my friend has a obd2 accord with a f23a vtec engine wich is blown.
all we want to do is swap the h22a over to his car.
it will have the jdm ecu motor and everything wich is obd2 as well
im just trying to make sure my knowledge from long ago is still correct
to my knowledge ill probably have to lengthen some wires
and i would need to use a prelude driver side mount.
but everything should just bolt up for the most part
only other thing i can think of is his current motor has an external coil i believe and the jdm one is internal.but maybe rywire has something for me in that department.
am i missing something?
i tried searching but couldnt find much as far obd2 to obd2 swaps on the accord

What chasis are you swapping it into? do you have the engine harness? When I swapped an f22a out for an H the only wires that had to be lengthened were egr on the inake manifold and alternator by an inch or two, also will you be planning on running power steering? The H22a pump has a differant angle on the pressure line so you might wanna think about that too
You need to make sure you use the f23 crank pulley than too I'm not so sure about the fitment of the f23 pump on the H but with a f22a pump on an h you need to shim the pump, so much that some people develop clearance issues on the hood, also you may still need to lengthen your ps line to reach the pump as the single vs dual cam makes a difference. with the f23 crank pulley you'll need to match the alternator pulley aswell
