Default obd2 to obd2 motor swap

if im swapping a obd2 gsr motor instead of obd2 ls motor, can i still use my original wiring (harness).

As far as i know i will need to run few additional wires from ecu for vtec solenoid?

i read in the honda swap book that you can switch obd2 to obd2 motors without changing the wire harness

OBD2a or OBD2b? There is a pretty significant difference between the two.
