Default drag racing, y0..

This is Civic related because I`d be drag racing a Civic, y0. I`m asking the drag racing forum, too, but the traffic is very slow there.

Is there a good "all motor street tire" class? If so, who/what competes?

Why am I asking this? I`ve pretty much given up my road racing career. The tracks are too far away, entrance fees are ridiculous, upkeep on the car is pretty brutal, and I don`t have the budget for it. I`d rather put my pennies towards a house. Now, I`m not saying that drag racing is cheap, I just have a pretty decent start and enough "connections" to make it reasonable. Car is a 92 CX that is currently making 210 w/ CTR cams at only 11:5.1. Pretty decent setupto build upon. I won`t be knocking on Shagday`s door, but it should be fun and will keep me around cars.

Might do some cone dodging, too.

Tia,
Ryan

But I like to tow the car out there, which is like $100 in gas and another $50 for the trailer. I can drive the car to Carsbad, Fontucky, etc and still be within the AAA 100 mile towing plan

I`ll still do some lapping events.

and youll also be waiting a few hours for each 12 sec or less pass jk

u dont need to tow it out there. triple A plus "ownz"

i blew a 160k mile sohc vtec out there and we towed it home for free..100 miles. i dont see why anything would happen tho, if u drive the car respectably.

Yah, at Streets, but what about buttonwillow? Seems like most of the events are there lately. You know me, I`ll be bbq`ing ribs in between passes

We lose IR chat and now ryan is going drag racing

WTF!!!!! hahahahahahahahahahahhaahhahahahahahhahahaha the world is over
the world is over the world is over the world is over

speedtrials 200 dollars for a whole day and drive the car there. Race TCRA and drive your car there (schumacher) drives his green EG to races, races them and drives home

It`s a friends. We`d do this together. I`d become part owner and help get a few sponsors for the car. Better driver drives.

Btw, you have seen this car. It can, and will, whoop *** going straight or turning. We could do both, which might be kinda cool.

I feel you for the reason that are no road tracks near by, we have a few auto-x's but I haven't participated in them . I can honestly say that I would make a complete fool of myself and do horrible if I tried road racing, reason being we have no tracks and I have no expericence trying to drive that way- competitively. So all I can do is drag race, yO! If anyone has info on some classes like voodoo is talking about I'm interested too.

Voodoo, can you give us a little more "specific" info on the setup in your CX. Sounds good.

u have 10!? I got only 9 or 7 and the only way u can upgrade is that u quailify. Meaning that u cant use the AAA card for the whole year and then request for it. Ohh, and its an additional 40bucks to what u already pay for the year I believe.
