ok well a few of you have helped me on my main relay/dizzy problems over the last few months. well i finally got my car started. my rotor was worn down to far and causing light spark. (honda dealership told me it was fine and had plenty left on it.....) well anyways, i just got it started in my garage and it stumbles for a good split second when i give it like half throttle real quick from idle. then picks up and seems to run fine. and my exhaust smells like its running rich. are these symptoms of ignition coil?

also back when my car was running last fall and summer. my car would randomly act like it lost spark or fuel for a few seconds and then pick up and then cut out and pick up all in about 2-10 second intervals. (only ever happened below 1/4 tank gas) which makes me think it might be my fuel pump. if so will the fuel pump from a 91 lx sedan work fine in my crx with a d16zc sohc vtec?

well my car is put back atleast a few weeks due to me being stupid and falling asleep while driving and i broke my back....

anyways still would like to know whats wrong or get some ideas so i can fix it when im fixed. bump and thanks again for anyone who can help

 

pump will probably work but cross reference part numbers to make sure (I use autozones website).

spitting and sputtering would be a good sign of the sock on the pump being the wrong one if it only does it below 1/4 tank. brothers rsx has the wrong one and when you drop below 1/4 and roll into it, it wont go.

 

alright. well looks like i will be dropping the tank when my back feels up to it... funfun.
