Default Rattling sound coming from front left wheel

About a month ago i had to replace a broken lug stud, after that there has been a rattling sound coming from the wheel. The sound stops after a bit of driving, when i press on the brakes, and turn but will usually start up again. I think it could be a bent brake rotor shield. the lug nuts are all tight.

any ideas? I don't want my wheel falling off going down the highway

Sounds like your brakes. Take off the wheel and check the caliper to see if it's loose.

You could get under there and bend the shield away and see if it gets quiet.
How many miles on the car?
A noisy wheel bearing will go quiet when the brakes are applied.
Definitely get down there and have a look, especially if you were hammering the crap out of your hub to get the lug out. Also as mentioned check the caliper. I've heard of people's loose calipers going through the rim. Catastrophic failure of a wheel/suspension on the highway is a bad bad thing.

So I took a look under it and couldn't really tell what was making the sound, but i did just kinda move the brake rotor shield around. When i went driving later i didn't hear the sound for a good while and even when i finally did it wasn't as loud as before.

I'm still suspicious if that really what it is though

inspect pads, calipers, hub assy.

make sure your not mistaking your discription of rattling for the noise that occurs when pads are worn

I took it to a mechanic to have a look, he said their was a clip missing from the caliper. but that it wasn't anything to be concerned about.
