Transmission repair/questions
I'm looking for input/opinions from people that have rebuilt there transmission, or taken one apart.
I installed an s80 lsd transmission into my car, but have the following issues.
The shifter is leaning more towards the driverside then it did with my old LS transmission, not sure if the shifter is more angled towards the driver in a type R, but all input is appreciated.
I have a problem finding 4th no problems with 3rd what so ever. Reverse is almost impossible without all my weight in the direction of the passenger side. 4th gear seems as if I have to move the shifter closer to where reverse would sit when doing everyday driving.
Now for reverse I have to push it all the way toward the passenger before I can even bring down into reverse, 5th gear is completely fine.
I have no problem going into any other gears, no problems with any type of grinding, and no popping out of gear once it is in gear.
The transmission oil was replaced with new honda mtf after running 10w30 originally.
Car is an integra with stock shifter linkage.
Looking for ideas on what parts I would have to replace, before I pull the transmission from the car.
I know its a lot to ask but I'm looking for people have might have had similar experiences or Ideas on this. So when I have a weekend to pull the transmission that I can try to have all the parts needed to fix this.
Thanks guys.
It shifts smoothly into what I think is every gear with the car off, just not so much with the car on.
I will be changing all the bearings the same time I do pull the transmission out and apart, any other feedback would be great guys.
