Default Torquing GE head studs - lube

GE supplies torco red assembly lube for their head studs. Has anyone used the red permatex ultra slick for the same application? They are similar if not the same for sure.

Don't they also supply torque specs with motor oil like ARP does?

Neg, I wouldn't use oil anyway. I usually use arp with the GE so I guess that's no different then just trying the permatex too lol

The consistency of the arp lube reminded me of the generic assembly lube I bought at pro boys and use when I swap camshafts.
