Icon2 Brake light coming on/off while driving

I recently have been having this problem as if I had the ebrake on while driving (obviously not). Anywho, I've searched online and its given me couple options: check brake fluid and refill if necessary (check), check ebrake cable under center console (check), I even disconnected it and the damn light was still on, visually inspect all 8 brake pads and replace is necessary (check, they are all good). I recently replaced the master cylinder cap though because the inside tubing broke for some weird unexplainable reason, but I dont know what else to do, please help guys!!!!

Does the cluster light still turn on while driving if you unplug both the MC cap switch and the parking brake switch?

I have this problem as well. I was told by a brake shop that the rear drums need new pads or some form of maintenance. I have yet to replace anything though. Hopefully a rear disc brake conversion will help me! Good luck!

Havent tried that yet, but just to make sure where exactly is the MC cap switch? The parking brake switch I'm assuming is the one under the arm rest

The MC switch is inside the cap. The connector for the switch is outside the cap - follow the wire.

Yes for parking brake switch.

K, I'll just unplug the wires off the new cap then as well as the parking brake switch, if it still stays what else could it be? I noticed the rear driver drum had the paint of the outside drum and brake shoes coming off as if there was a lot of heat and was melting it, the passenger drum looks fine

If the light stays off, then reconnect one of the plugs to see if the light comes on. If not, then reconnect the second plug to verify that the light comes on. The plug that makes the light turn on is where the problem lies.

So I disconected the cap cables and parking brake cable, and the light stayed off. I then connected only one cable at a time and it was still off. But when I connected one cap cable and touched the parking brake cable to the actual ebrake steel part, the light came on. After a while of messing with it, the light finally went and stayed off until I started the car again and its been on since then

My cable likes to stick when its cold out. I just slam my e brake down and the light turns off haha

Repeat the unplug tests to see whether the problem lies on reservoir cap or parking brake side of the circuit, or neither. You might try unplugging one and then taking the car for a drive to see whether the light stays off.
