So on the already cold Colorado mornings my ebrake light stays on until the car warms up. My bud that is a mechanic at Honda says that there was a recall on the brake fluid res. cap for poor connection reasons. Anyone have this issue and figure out why? The car is an 01 DC4 and the brakes are fine, the problem just recently started.

Your brake fluid might be low. Check that out.

 

Its not, although that was my first thought also.

 

maybe the brake light switch is loose where it connects and disconnects...trying pulling it up and down w/ the handle pressed in...just a thought

 

Tried that too, I removed the center console completely just to check it out, but its fine. Even disconnected it and cleaned the terminals just to make sure. Any other ideas about this supposed recall on the brake res. cap?
