power window swap......
anyone done this yet ?
heres what I have now
2 EX door panels with switches
2 - power regulators
all the door wiring harnesses
pretty much bought two bad doors off an EX and want to retro fit onto my hatch.
anybody done this , it looks like if I add power to the main (drivers) side switch and run that over to the passenger side I should be set to go.
just trying to figure out how bad this could be , looks pretty straight forward.
I just wanna see if anyone has done this and if there was any problems along the way.

Talk to "chaser" on http://www.civichatchback.com . He did it to his hatch but with si components. I have seen it and it works perfectly.
i'm in the process of convertin EX doors on my hatch after i find a set. from wat i remember. i think you will also need the windows and the rails that it slides in from the coupes, but i'm not definite on that.
oh, ok....i wasn't quite sure. and wat do we do wit the window crack and that whole entire bracket that connects to the window on our manuals? do we swap that out with the EX ones?

did this conversion to my roommates hatch.. we were lucky enough to get entire door assembly and all needed wires and relays from under the dash for a cheap as hell so we just put the new doors on and ran the wires.. get a good scmatic of the dash wires to make everything work perfectly you will need a relay if you dont use the stock wire harness as well.. he has the only hatch in the area that i know about that has power windows, power mirrors, and power locks all OEM honda in a hatchback
I finished that same conversion in my EK about a month ago. I got the whole dash and cabin harness from a 2000 Si, and pulled my own dash out and replaced the stock harness. Everything is *CLEAN* and OEM. The cabin harness I got was cut right behind the driver seat so I had to splice it into my existing harness, but everything works great.
I now have power windows/locks/mirrors, OEM Tweets, OEM keyless entry & alarm, and I can add cruise if I ever feel like it.
IMO, it's much better to do it that way than to ghetto fab the underdash wiring. May be a little more work, but at least you won't have to troubleshoot anything 'cause all the wiring/relays you're using are OEM.

It's pretty straight forward. The trick is getting all the stock plugs. I did it to my hatch and I got all the interior wiring PLUS the plugs that connect to the back of the fuse box and the power mirror switch (SI model) you can remove the pins from the plug on the power window harness and just insert them in exactly the same place on the plug on your existing harness. It is all completely OEM and it won't give you any problems. e-mail or IM me if you have any questions.
