Which 3? There are 5 mounts if you include the front lower torque mounts, which incidentally are the ones that tend to make noise and transfer a lot of vibration if they're bad.

Oh lord tell me you didn't just say $500 for 3 mounts installed? The torque mounts are under the car and not in the engine bay.

The noise is not normal by any means.

Could you better describe the noise? Or post a video/audio clip of the noise?

What does being a chick have to do with anything.

Are you saying that because you are girl you do not possess the same ability to work on your car as a male would.

Because thats not true.

Women use being a woman as being an excuse for AND against almost every situation. Sounds like something a minority would try to pull.

Except you're not a minority, even though white males are the minority now.

You're a woman, 1/2 the human race. You can do it. Don't be lazy. Get to it.

If you cant get it fixed and you dont wanna express the effort to fix it, then sell it and move on.

yes, i was being coy... it is a poor excuse. i am in my final term of nursing school and reliability is a MUST. my last honda the slave cylinder went so i replaced that and the clutch is now riding high... pressure plate? was quoted a huge pile to fix the clutch so i bought this. trust me ive been reading on cars, timing belts, edmunds and consumer reports, etc for weeks. this was a one owner, 138k, a screaming deal. haha... so i also had the oil pan gasket replaced, and he had to take off the exhuast.. maybe theres a hole in THAT? the noise is like a race car driver noise, seriously loud when in drive, excelerrating. i really appreciate all you gurus help.

It's possible.

That really doesn't sound mount related at all. Motor mounts will normally just transmit vibration to passenger compartment, and a bit of extra noise, but not what you're describing.
