Where is the IACV on my 96 Civic DX?
Actually this is totally wrong.
On the D16y7 they run a intake manifold which faces the throttle body up towards the hood. So if your standing in front of the car facing directly to the rear look at the throttle body and if you notice in front of it maybe tucked a little under the fuel rail is a rectangle box with 2 black rubber hose on it. Thats the IAC.

Its not that then but will be worth cleaning anyways if your in the mood to take something apart make it nice and shiny and put it back on. Google or better yet youtube "Honda civic vacuum leak" or "Honda civic idle surge".
On those it is easier to take off the whole throttle body. I did it on my '97 LX and cleaned the IACV and the throttle body while I had it out. You should be prepared with a new throttle body gasket though. I was able reuse mine, but it is only paper.
