Re: tcs in a 96 civic (JMANBB24)
TCS = TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM (I doubt its on any civic but dunno)
TPS = THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR
Now that that's all cleared up, the tps is basically on the back side of your throttle body, which is on your intake manifold... I'll see if I can get pics from my lx... gimme a bit, they prolly wont turn out though...

im looking for the thing where eather you take it off or you push a button, and it makes it so when you try to launch at high rpm you stay in pretty much one spot and create a bunch of smoke from the tires, if you know which one that is please tell me, and if you know how to take it off so i can smoke the tires please tell me. thanks

Re: tcs in a 96 civic (JMANBB24)
well... neither of these wil ldo that... a TCS is something that PREVENTS your car from losing traction by controlling the torque, kinda like an LSD but more towards the hwheels than the tranny... (i think, don't understand how a tcs would totally work, but it's like an lsd...)
If you wanna smoke up your wheels, go buy some tires so you can change them in a week, you might as well buy an oil change too because you'll need it

Why do people start wasting your time with a logical question, then it turns out to be completely homoerotic like the thread starter...
