Kill swtich: fuel pump; help!
Ok i need help guys! I have no idea how the previous owner hooked up the kill switch. The switch took a crap, and while I was replacing the kill switch, the 'power' wire came loose. The wire itself is around 6" in length and I have no idea how it was hooked up. I spent countless hours looking through all the wires under the dash but nothing looks cut or modified. The switch itself was used to turn on/off the fuel pump. When the switch is turned on, I can hear the fuel pump prime. Anyone have any ideas as to where this wire goes to? I've also checked the fuel pump housing and wire harness and nothing looks cut. So it leads me to believe it has to be hooked up to something that 6" wire can reach under the dash. Also checked the main relay, but didn't find any exposed or cut wires from there as well. I'm pretty stumped!
Just follow the wires from the kill switch.
They are tied in somewhere.
Rereading your post, it sounds like the power wire is loose and you can't find where it was tied in?
If so, tie it back into the wire coming out of the fuse box connected to the fuse for 'fuel pump.'

Ok, I think I may have solved this, I'll have to take a look at the fuel pump relay and see if he tapped into it. I'm thinking he just stuck the end of the wire into it.
Only gripe I have with this so far is that every single thread I searched for, everybody has failed to mention that it is the 'fuel pump relay' and not the 'main relay.' I went out and wasted money on the main relay, when in reality it was the fuel pump relay that I needed.

This is what I'm thinking the previous owner did. Do you happen to know which fuse? I looked at the diagram and there isn't a fuse under the dash that is associated with the fuel pump.
Problem solved! You were right f22, the previous owner just put the end of the wire directly into the fuel pump relay.
Question though, if that's the case how come the vehicle won't start if that wire wasn't hooked up? Is the fuel pump wire cut somewhere?

Wow, it's going to be a needle in the haystack trying to find where the wire was cut then. Hopefully it's not to much of a pain in the ***. Im crossing my fingers, hoping the previous owner hacked it somewhere between the fuel pump and before going under the dash.
