Default Weird idle issue plus coolant leak

Motor is a JDM B18C.
For the past couple of days I noticed that I was slowly loosing coolant from my IACV. Yesterday night I took off my throttle body and IACV to clean and check the hoses for any leaks. I saw no holes in the hoses and put every thing back on immediately. After I let it idle for about 10 minutes , which it sat perfectly at 1000 rpms, I noticed no leaks of collant. Went to bed happy.

The next morning I see a few drops of coolant but not as large as they were before? Driving this morning to work, I noticed that the idle was screwy. It would bounce from 1000rpms to 1400rpms repeatedly at a stop. Any pointers on what I may need to do next?

Replaced the distrubutor two days ago and the wires and plugs are both NGK which were changed about 1,000 miles ago.

Lost.

Have you bled all the air out of your coolant system and made sure it was full?

Same thing. Are you positive there is no air in the system?

Not completely positive, but I ran the engine it with the radiator cap off until all the bubbles were gone. Does this not suffice as running all the air out?

No. There is a procedure linked in the FAQs that explains step-by-step how it is to be done.

Idle seems to high at 1000k

Should be 750+-50 rpm

I personally would spray some carb/choke cleaner in and around any possible areas that vacuum leaks could occur and see if idle raises while spraying the problem area.

I would then use the proper procedure to set the timing to factory spec to see if high idle is caused by an increase in timing.

If something isn't resolved by then I would go about using the service manual to troubleshoot the IACV using the flowchart.

Also it would help to say what ECU/mods you are running, along with any CEL if present

Find out where the coolant leak is coming from first. Could be a coolant line from the water neck maybe?

OK he HAS the IDLE surge it's from a Vac leak.

1. Did you put NEW gaskets on the Throttle body and IACV?
2. Did you remove any Vac line you didn't put back?
3. Did the gasket for the IACV fall off when you put it back on the Intake?
4. Did you clean the FITV if your Throttle body has one?

FITV cleaning instructions.
https://honda-tech.com/forums/acura-integra-6/%2A%2A%2A-how-%2A%2A%2A-clean-your-fitv-aka-fast-idle-thermo-valve-1564019/
it shows removing the Fit valve from the TB and the intake off the motor but i did mine with it still mounted to the TB and the TB still on the intake in the car.

Also get the car up to op temp then turn off the car and Jumper the 2 wire Diag connector then unplug the wires from the IACV start the car (may have to use the gas peddle to get car started) and see where it idles @.

idle should be 480 +or- 50 RPM
with NO load (turn off ALL accessories and Lights)

if it's well over 900 RPM you have a Vac leak that needs to be fixed first after that do the following.

if needed turn the Brass idle screw located on top and just left of center of the throttle body till idle is correct

then check timeing and adjust if needed. Set idle again if timing was adjusted

now reconnect IAVC, Unlink the Diag connector and pull the under hood backup/ECM fuse and replace fuse after 10 sec.

Now start the car and let idle for 60 Sec.
idle should be 750 +or- 50 RPM

turn on Headlights Idle should be 850 +or- 50 RPM

your done.
