so i got an issue with my car with power. so basically what happens is some days my car has pretty good power, more than you would expect from my car and then some days i have very little power or acceleration or the feeling of "pulling" but on the days i do have good power it "pulls" pretty strong and accelerates pretty good imo. i have a 92 civc hatchback cx with oem clutch trans flywheel ect. original motor which is a d15b8 with 330xxx. also based on 1st-4th gear pulls at 3500rpm in a 5speed obviously. so im just wondering what could be the problem? is something about to go out? or is this a sign of anything??

 

330K miles? Have you compression tested the cylinders?

Last tune up?

CEL codes?

Clogged cat?

 

yes 330k, no compression test i don't really know how to. tune up probably 3 or 4 years ago, i haven't had any cel codes come up or check engine light come on in a long time, and i don't have a cat or resonator just straight pipe with fart can and ebay header.

 

check compression and do a tune up.report back
