im trying to remove the rear deck where my speakers sit. The guy before me cut the holes out to put 10 in subs in there and now i cant fit reg 6x9 anymore. Is there a way i can take out that deck and replace it with a new one?

 

Listing the year/model of the car would be useful. That way someone can look up a diagram for you so you can locate the mounting points of the deck lid. You should be able to look in the trunk area and be able to see how the lid is mounted though.

1. remove rear seats

2. removed "C" pillars

3. remove rear deck

the seats are held in by 10mm bolts and "C" pillars are clipped in.

 

@myeksedan... i know how to take that out i was talking about the actual metal piece the speakers sit on, the guy hacket the 6x9 mounting holes for 10in subs.

You'll have to cut it out and weld in a new piece. You would be much better off getting some mounting material and making a jig.
