Hi i got a friend that has a stick Y7 and he want to put a Y8 intake mani but he got the stick one with iacv of two wires and his bring 3! I know how to make the conversion but he will put a Y8 stick ecu and take out the Y7 one my question is: it will not have vtec so rmps will pass 5K right! It does not make difference? Its on 97 ek

Me thinks the question is, without the VTEC will the ECU prevent the engine from going higher than 5k rpms?
