quick question about smog....

Default quick question about smog....

i have a mini me y7 block and y8 head in my 00 ek hatch...but i have obd2-obd1 conversion harness and a p28.....will my car pass smog??? or do i ahve to change the ecu????TIA

If you go from obd2 to obd1 it won't pass smog because of the [lack of] sensors and stuff.

so if i put the stock ecu back in....i will pass smog?? even with the vtec head?

Not sure about that. I just know that ob2 has more sensors in the engine and stuff, and if they aren't there, then you'll probably trip the CEL and they'll fail you without even popping your hood.
