Default FML! Bent Crankshaft Pully

So, I've ran into another issue with my rebuild. I removed my crankshaft pully, and noticed a wear spot on the inside of my pully. Anyone have a spare pully they would be willing to part with? It is for the B20B4 motor. Thank you in advance!

I like to reuse parts as much as the next guy, but from experience this is one of thoes items you want to buy new simply because if there is wear on the inside of the pulley there is also going to be wear on the crank shaft. you may get only one shot at fixing this without having to replace the crank shaft. least expensive I found was from Majestic Honda.

That makes total sense. I am a bit concerned that there is a bend to my crankshaft. Other than pulling it out, is there any way to test it out to check to see if it is true?

Get a dial indicator and set it up on the side of the end of the crank. You can see how much out of round it is. A few thousands isn't a big deal.

9, a bend is highly unlikely, uneaven wear for sure. In this same situation I placed a small amount of "steel poxy" (that is epoxy with steel particals in it) on the crank and new pulley and carefully put the pulley on and tightened it to specs. Crank the engine over to make sure the pulley does not wobble, let it cure over night before you put any stress on it. This may sound funny or uneeded but the epoxy is added not as an adhesive but as a filler to fill the voids of the uneven wear. This has worked for me in the past, don't worry the pulley will still come off with a puller when you're ready for your future upgrades. Good luck and welcome to the V family!

The wear isn't on the inside of the pulley so to speak, at least not on the area where the splines and woodruff key go, it is on the lip of the outer most section. I will try to get a picture of it tomorrow and post it. Thanks for the idea tho Faster, If nothing else, I will try what you said and see if that fixes my issue. I have high hopes for this car, and I look forward to having it for quite some time.
