ok .. this sux but .. Good News - Bad News
Last night dang thieves stole my daughters CRX.
Good News: it was .. more good news .. they only took the wheels ..
( and some like new boxing gloves / black )
Bad News .. it's gonna cost me $300 in tow / storage bills .. plus $400-$800 for new rims and tires

QUESTION .. something odd here .. the car was not on blocks .. it was all the way down on the ground on the frame
How they heck could anyone jack it up and get their jack back and let the car down on the frame ????
Wouldn't you need a tow truck to do something like that ?

Luckily .. i have some VERY excellent photos of the wheels and they have some UNIQUE scratch marks.
No way anyone could exactly reproduce these exact same scratch marks .. might as well be serial numbers ..

$100 Reward for anyone who spots em and calls the cops ..
also .. if the thief is reading this .. bring back the wheels no questions asked ..

STATS:
wheels: XXR 501 silver edges with grey spokes
they have chrome valve stems
toyo proxes4 on 3 rims and some other brand on the 4th rim
Location Stolen: South Charlotte NC / Pineville .. not to far from Hendrick Honda
Location Found: Pinnacle Woods Ct .. eh .. Kings Mountain ( we think ) it's near Gastonia NC.
pretty far from the stolen from location.
The tow truck guy described the road as a new road where they plan to set mobile homes ..
kind of deserted / secluded .. but .. since it's new .. probably someone from that area is the thief(s) ..

another thing that kinda sux is .. the car was dragged on the rotors / drums onto the tow truck.
the guy who towed it had a special "Low Angle" tow truck .. the bed of the truck bends so it's less angle.

NOTE: you can go to flickr and click the magnify glass plus "full screen" to see the scratches better.
OR better yet click magnify once then "view all sizes" and pick the largest size .
the scratches are on the chrome in 3 places , most notable by the top spoke around the allen key bolt
scratches at aprox: 12 , 7 & 10 o-clock positions ..
