Default 99 CX HB - what would happen if I were to put high compression pistons in the D16Y7?

So I'm rebuilding my D16Y7 in my 99 CX HB and am wondering what would happen if I were to put high comp pistons in it that would take compression ratio from 9.4:1 to 12:1. Also would I have to tune it differently?

What would it take? A LOT, more then can even think of.

Re-tune? Oh yes.

You will bump the compression up causing you to run a higher octane and make no real power over 160hp on a stock or .5mm bore. and yes you would have to retune ... very costly for very little power u would gain. this is not a k20z1 or a2 that has vtec on the intake and exhaust cams. vtec on the single cam is like the weak vtec of a k20a3 and with a 2.0 is barely making 160hp and your 1.6 cant make enough displacement to make a 2.0 ltr. if u want more power out of a sohc ...boost it... and read up no one is going to spoon feed you... just point u in the right direction.
