1998 Acura 1.6EL rear defost light always on!!

as the title says. My acura el (civic) rear defroster light is always lit...and cannot get this button to turn off. What could be the problem?

From the lack of info I'm going to guess you haven't actually examined anything?

Does it turn off if you remove 7.5A dash fuse 16?
