03 accord v6 6MT come with launch control??
Ok I know that accords aren't the only Hondas that won't rev up past 5500rpm when in neutral and in a stand still but is the reason because its a form of launch control? (I know launch control is for boosted cars to raise psi at a stand still) I mean maybe 5500rpm is the peak rpm to launch on? Idk lol just wondering and insight would be great.
As we come closer to newer cars with electronic throttle and steer by wire controls. Its more of a safety feature versus a launch control type of deal. Why Honda made it so? I don't really know perhaps its to idiot proof people from stomping on their gas pedal at a stop light in neutral and then shifting to D as soon as the lights turn green.
Its the rev limiter. Has nothing to do with launch control. If it were not there many people, unfortunatley, would grenade their motor. Same as in automatic in park just a rev limiter so the uh ohs dont turn into oh nos.
