Hey guys,

I noticed there is cricket like noises coming from the transmission area. I can hear it clearly during idle, as the sound went away if I increase the rev just a bit. I didn't have time to bring to the mechanic yet, but wonder if any have had experience of that, and what is that mean.
Clutch changed 6months ago, timing belt was changed a month ago. There were no sound until recently.

 

maybe throw out bearing?

 

Beside the noise, is there any other symptoms indicating that?

 

It could be the sepentine belt needs to either be tightened or loosened.

 

My buddy had this same thing happen on his 96 accord. His ended up being his clutch throw out bearing because he drove with his foot resting on the clutch pedal therefore putting pressure on the bearing while not fully engaging the clutch. So with the car running we sprayer cleaner in it while pressing and depressing the clutch pedal and it went away
