Default 94 dx d16z6 swap + p28/Now cel 41 - o2 sensor?

Did a d16z6 swap on my 94 dx honda civic. Swapped in p 28 ecu and wired up the vtec. I am now getting a 42 cel. I looked it up and it is heated oxygen sensor. Motor came out of a delsol. Any ideas?

42 doesn't sound like a real code. Double check it (see codes sticky) or post a video.

If you reset the ECU, does the code return?

Did you have to rewire the o2 sensor plug for the swap?

It will turn back on after a few minutes of running. Plugged right up during swap.

Make sure the O2 sensor connector is fully seated. If so, start by testing whether the Yel/Blk wire in the unplugged connector gets battery voltage with the key in ON(II).

What ended up causing the problem you were having? I just swapped a Z6 into a VX and it has the same code coming up.

Did you do the VX O2 sensor fix?

I'll give that a try tomorrow. I hadn't seen it before. I have the original Z1 engine harness on my Z6. Will this still work?

When you handled your exhaust manifold during the swap you didn't create a hairline crack just right of the O2 bung hole did you? This is where they commonly crack and it will cause a code 41 CEL. It happened to my 93 del sol (not during a swap) and I replaced the manifold with a cheap set of headers. I've since learned it's a common problem.
