Default P28 Q33 transistor

I'm trying to figure out what transistor goes in Q33 in a P28 11F0 board, I need it for the A10 output. Can some pop open there P28 and tell me what it says on it. Of course the three P28s I open don't have it. Thanks!

Not quite sure what you're working on (I'm new here), but often electronics engineers design a board with more capabilities than needed for flexibility. The fact the holes are soldered shut suggests no transistor is required to function for what it was assembled to do for your application.

Are you having a problem with the board, or just concerned about the empty space?

Q33 controls the A10 output I need for a nitrous solenoid.

It looks like whatever Q103 is might be the same. Essentially, you need to know if it is a NPN or PNP type. Usually, electronics engineers favor the NPN types. If that's the case, a standard 2N2222A is a good default piece.

I would rather have the correct transistor in place, 2n2222 is pretty old and small signal, no one has a p72 or p28 sitting at there desk with a screwdriver?

Well I found my answer, in case anyone does a search it's the same as Q31 or Q34 which is a SD21780SA.

Found it. It's an NPN 50V 1.5W 2A transistor. Digi-Key PN 2SD21780SATB-ND. Unfortunately it's a non-stocked item. PN PN2222ATACT-ND is a 40 volt 1 amp transistor that could be used as an alternative. I retrieved this info from Digikey.com

That 2222 you referenced is not a good choice the pin configuration is different (EBC) its the wrong package and only 1A Ic. The absolute closest thing I could find is 2SD2138APACT-ND, it has the same 3-SIP package, pin configuration (ECB) and 2A Ic. Anyhow, I already ordered the correct part from Moates.net

Good deal! Of course you'll have to keep us updated with the nitrous results.

This spot is empty on most 11F0 boards and most others as well. Maybe it was automatics that had it? Out of 100s Ive chipped Ive seen maybe 2 with it from factory. I add these for S300 installs mostly.
