Icon6 New to honda's with a few problems!

Okay, so i'm new to the honda game here, I've been a huge saturn fan for years but i figured i would change it up a bit.

To start off, i picked up a '94 Accord EX with 120k on it. It has a few things that i'm not sure exactly where to start to diagnose. The car has a hard time starting for the first time of the day. When i turn the key, it cranks, but does nothing. The next few times the engine will turn over and pop a bit like it wants to start, but not fully. Each time you "start" it, the engine runs a lil more and more.

Eg:
1st, no start
2nd, stutter
3rd, longer loping stutter
4th, engine idles for about 3 seconds then stalls.
5th, Engine starts, but with an erratic idle. it will Rev at about 900, then up to 1500, and back and forth. After about 30 seconds it will lower the idle and run pretty good with a little popping sounding from the headers/exhaust area.

Once it's running it's pretty good. Shifting is fine, even though it has a D4 flashing. I have heard about the car not revving over 3500, which it seems like i have. When i'm parked and i rev it, it will get to 3500 ish and start popping like a rev limiter, BUT! I have not noticed that when reaching those speeds driving.

I checked the codes on it, because it has a D4 and a CEL and it came up with Code 6? When i turn the key to II, i get 6 long flashes, and it does it 3 times. Then it will flash 22? (two long, two short) then back to the 6 long, 3 times again.

In my saturn when i had similar problems, i replaced the Engine Coolant Temp Sensor for around 13$ and 5 minutes of work, solving All issues. I don't know if this car is the same, and those codes could be for that sensor, or if that part would cause the same issues?

I hope you guys can help and i hope i didn't get stuck with a piece of junk!

Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just found that page and i saw those codes. My question though now is. IS my first code really a 6? According (hehe) to the faq long blinks are 10, so would that in theory mean i have a code 60? I don't see any code 60, and from my experience the ects seems to be on par with my issues.

Hope i'm going in the right direction, thanks again!
