Default Car isn't starting

The car is a 89 hatch with a ls swap. I'm not able to get it started. I thought it was the clutch switch, and I was wrong. I put a paper clip to it, it still wont start ( no cranking). I hear the fuel pump prime on the II position. On, the III, I hear a click from the main realy. I've tried to start the car with the battery alone, and with jumper cables. The times that I jump the starter, it will crank and no run, unless I put ez-starter in the intake then itll run for about 10 seconds. I disconnected the line comming from the gas tank going into the fuel filter.. NO Fuel. I put my test light to the harness going to the fuel pump I think the black and yellow wire and I got power going to it while cranking. Could my fuel pump be bad? or the main realy? I checked and cleaned the grounds on the valve cover, so it shouldn't be the grounds, unless tehres more. Thank you in advance.

You have two separate problems in the starter and fuel pump circuits.

Starter - You have jumped the connector for the safety starter switch at the top of the clutch pedal. What colors are the wires in the connector you jumped? Posting a picture would be best.

Fuel pump - When you turn the key from off to ON(II), does the fuel pump run for 2 seconds and does the CEL turn on and then off after 2 seconds?

I had a friend come by to look at it. I should him the paper clip I put for the safety starter switch. He took it out and he put his power programer. The car cranked. He then put my paper clip back in and wiggled into place. It worked. I guess I didnt put it far into it.

Fuel Pump- When I turn the key to II the pump does run and the CEL does turn off about 2 seconds. He poke his power programer at it. He wasnt able to figure it out. He did tell me that I had 2 powers and 2 grounds. I asked him if there is a chance the fuel line might be kinked and preventing the fuel go by. He said there might be. I did drop the tank a few years back. Tomorrow I might drop it and inspect it.

Are you needing to jump the starter switch connector because the rubber stopper that presses on the switch has fallen out? See red arrow in diagram below. If so, hot glue a coin over the hole and you should be good to go.

This is a real possibility given that the pump runs but fuel does not flow out of the line at the filter.

As you mentioned, also check the fuel pump sock strainer to see if it is clogged or damaged.

I got the car running. It was a bent rubber fuel hose. That's why there was no fuel going into the fuel filter.
