Default 98 integra ls with 94 gsr swap wiring question

I just got the car. I didn't do the swap.

on the passenger side shock tower there are 4 plugs. the 4th plug is just 2 wires. there is a 2 wire plug on the chassis wiring and same on the engine wire harness. they look very similar but don't plug into each other. can any one tell me what they are?

I have been searching for about an hour and cant find anything.

is your vtec wired up? 98 is obd2 and 94 is obd1, so you may no longer need the sensors that the plug connects to.

I know this isn't rite. im putting one in. but im confused on the knock sensor. its there and wired up. is the car wire harness pined the same for knock sensor?

If you don't have to worry about OBD checks you can replace the ECU with one that isn't wired for knock detection. It'll need to be chipped with a correct basemap or it'll need an emulator like Hondata or Neptune. Otherwise I'm not sure how you can make the ECU happy unless you connect the knock sensor correctly.

are you running a oem gsr manifold? they had secondary butterflys in them and you may be hearing that and mistaking it for vtec. what ecu are you running it with?

my bud die swapped his supercharge GSR into a 2000 Si from a 94? hatch; it was obd1 to obd2 and with the harness there was i believe 2 extra sets of wires that just hung around. werent used for anything so we just tucked them away.

then you should be fine because your obd2 harness is still there but the obd1 ecu will just ignore the unneeded plugs. just leave your harness uncut.

The Integra I have was Auto and has that 4th connector on the shock tower with two wires on it. Was your converted to manual? The plug is no longer being used on my set up as I converted to MT and used a MT harness
