Default Del sol blinker question

Ive got a 93 sol and both bulbs in my blinkers work when there normally on, But whenever i go to signal right my passenger side bulb goes out and the green arrow on the right in the cluster comes on and stays on till i turn the car off and do it again. So my question is why does the blinker bulb on the passenger stay on until i use it to signal? then it just goes off? Any idea's on what i can do? Thanks.

Sounds like the passenger side turn signal bulb is blown. Start by replacing it.

The turn signal bulbs generally have two filaments, one for the turn signal and one for the parking light/taillight. Be sure you are installing the proper double-filament bulb in the front and rear.

I think you have a double filament bulb installed where a single filament bulb belongs or a single filament bulb installed where a double filament bulb belongs.

On Civics, the front turn signal bulb has two filaments - the second filament is for the front parking light, which is a separate circuit.

On Civics, the rear turn signal bulb is a single filament bulb. In contrast, the two rear brake lights have two filaments because the second filament is used for the taillights, which is a separate circuit.

Verify that your bulb terminal patterns match with terminals in each bulb receptacle.
