hey h-t,
i recently bought a crv(200k)(i know this is the civic forum, more exposure).it still ran but had a cracked radiator, had no power, and was mixing coolant and oil.here are some pics of the head after i took it out of the car,do they seem okay, like new headgasket and go,or just replace the motor, and if i do,can i replace it with the b20b to save money, thanks for the input

Several details of those pics show that the engine has been overheated badly. It's needs a thorough rebuild, a used b20 is much cheaper and easier at this point. I'd call hmotorsonline.com and get one.

you need to have the surfaces measured on the head and block as well as the cylinder walls. Enough deformation of the cylinders will require new sleeves or possibly a new block depending on how hot it really got and enough warpage in the head or deck can ruin a motor
